Id.
Sketches
Thank you for your affirmative responses to Every Other Sunday’s last post, which featured a pair of my watercolor paintings. Today we are continuing our break from poetry with a look at some more of my original art.
Today’s pieces are from a project that I called Id. These imagined portraits depict the characters in unguarded moments. The images were made with a variety of digital and traditional tools. Tablet, stylus, pen, brush, paper, ink, paint. They were conceived as works on paper and produced in a limited edition of fine art prints. I first showed them publicly in the Spring of 2014, and then several more times in juried exhibits and gallery group shows. A small number of prints from the first edition are available. Do you see one that you like? You can see more at https://www.essesbrown.com/sketches.

Thank you for reading Every Other Sunday. Please share it with someone who would enjoy it. Thank you.
